Derby County midfielder Kenzo Goudmijn produced one of his best performances since moving to Go Ahead Eagles as they stunned league leaders Feyenoord.
Eagles secured a 2-1 victory in the Eriedivisie clash as Robin van Persie's side succumbed to only their second defeat of the season.
Derby's Goudmijn won plaudits for his display with the Dutchman currently back in his homeland where he is on a season-long loan.
And he played a key role in the victory as goals from Dean James and Mats Deijl secured all three points.
Eagles are now ninth in the table in what was easily their best result of the season.
"If you look at our performance, we deserve this," said Goudmijn.
We want to show how good we are and we want to prove we can get a result against this Feyenoord , here in front of our fans, who were fantastic.
"I think we varied our play well and made it very difficult for them."
Goudmijn was substituted in the clash and added: "I'll ask the manager.
"But I think we were going to play with five at the back, and I think I was the tactical substitute for that. But, that's what I think.
"I haven't spoken to the manager about it yet, but to be honest: we won and played a good game, although I did enjoy being on the pitch and how we played."
Feyenoord boss van Persie knows all too well about Goudmijn's ability having wanted to sign him in the summer of 2024.
Van Persie was managing Heerenveen at the time and it was reported that Goudmijn travelled to Ibiza to hold transfer talks over a potential move.
But in the end Derby won the battle to clinch his signature, but after his first season in the Championship, he was sent out on loan to Go Ahead Eagles this summer.
That was a result of limited first-team opportunities at Pride Park after the arrivals of Lewis Travis, David Ozoh and Bobby Clark this summer.
Goudmijn still has two years remaining on his contract at Pride Park.
