Arsenal currently have five players out on loan, but how is each of them getting on at their new club?
The Gunners entered the international break on top of the Premier League table, four points clear of Man City after they drew 2-2 against Sunderland over the weekend. Mikel Arteta will hope his side can continue their unbeaten run after the break, when they return against North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

However, before that, GoonerNews decided to consider the five players that Arsenal let leave on loan in the summer transfer window, and find out how they are getting on. So here is each of them, graded by how well their loan moves away from the Emirates are going…
Jakub Kiwior, Porto – B
Kiwior moved to Porto for a loan deal in the summer as Arsenal signed Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie as their two new backup centre-backs.
He went in search of more regular game time, and has featured for the Portuguese club fairly regularly so far, appearing in seven league games, and two Europa League games. In terms of getting what he needed out of a loan, it is working for the Polish international, so we’ve graded him a B.
Karl Hein, Werder Bremen – D
Estonian keeper Hein is on loan at Bundesliga side Werder Bremen, and, for the most part, he has appeared as the German club’s backup option in between the sticks.
He’s made two appearances, one of which was a clean sheet, the other, he conceded four goals, so it’s fair to say that the 22-year-old’s loan move could be going better for him at this stage.
Fabio Vieira, Hamburger SV – C
Vieira was on loan at Porto last year, and he finds himself on loan again, as he is at Bundesliga side Hamburger, featuring fairly often so far, but certainly not as much as he would have hoped.
He’s made five league appearances, and one in the cup, providing one assist for the German club so far; He will hope that his minutes improve as the season progresses.
Oleksandr Zinchenko, Nottingham Forest – D
Zinchenko’s future at Arsenal looks all but up, as he moved to Forest in search of more game time over the summer, and so far, it hasn’t been the best for him. The Ukrainian appeared most during Ange Postecoglou’s short, and not very successful tenure at the City Ground.
He’s made three Premier League appearances, one in the Carabao Cup, and two in the Europa League, coming off the bench for the most part too.
Reiss Nelson, Brentford – C-
Nelson hasn’t had much chance at Brentford yet either, mainly because they haven’t needed him, but the winger is the only of the on loan Arsenal players to have scored a goal for his side this year, which is positive.
He’s made two appearances in the Premier league, and two in the Carabao Cup, scoring his goal against Grimsby in said cup in the previous round.
