An Arsenal and Chelsea transfer target’s contract talks have “failed”, so they could get the chance to sign him in January.
The Gunners won’t need to strengthen in January if they don’t want to, as they are top of the league, clear by four points over Manchester City, and in control in the Champions League as we head further into November.

However, Mikel Arteta may decide to make a couple of opportune signings if the right chances emerge for the Arsenal boss. Looking in attack, Arsenal have Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz, who are both expected to return from injury after the international break.
Furthermore, they also have Gabriel Jesus who is injured, but the striker is expected to be a potential sale in January, meaning they could create room to bring in one of their forward targets, if he becomes available.
Arsenal and Chelsea get major Yildiz boost
Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz has been linked with both Arsenal and Chelsea for several months, as he is yet to agree an improved contract at the Italian club. He has a market value of around £66m, and is having a fantastic season, scoring three goals, and providing four assists in 14 games for Juventus.
Reports in Italy say that Yildiz’s contract talks have halted, which has plunged his Juventus future into doubt moving forward. Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport say that Yildiz’s contract talks “failed”, and so the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea are now on alert with his situation at the club.
The Turkish international can play as a striker, or on either wing, meaning that he could be a fantastic versatile option for Arteta, especially if the Gunners sell Jesus in January, which is looking more and more likely to happen.
Where could Jesus go in Janaury?
Jesus is still a valuable striker, as he is still just 28, and has proven in the past that he is more than capable of putting up big numbers in the Premier League. He has a current market value of around £22 million as things stand.
He could remain in the Premier League, but there has also been a lot of interest in him from his former club Palmeiras in Brazil, with the player already suggesting that he would like to play for his old team yet again before he retires.
