Arsenal want to sign the ideal complement to Viktor Gyokeres

[Arsenal](https://goonernews.com/) vastly upgraded their team and look so much stronger tactically with the addition of Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres this past summer transfer window, and while they have Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz behind him, it looks like they want more of a scoring striker with future upside as the No. 2 option – plus Jesus’s days in North London are likely numbered anyway.

Gyokeres is a big, fast striker who is a nice box presence, but it looks like Arsenal want a young, up and comer who is more of a fluid scorer, at least, based on who their latest target is.

Because according to Spanish outlet Diario Sport, Arsenal are joining the likes of rivals Chelsea and La Liga powerhouse Barcelona with an interest in Levante breakout star Etta Eyong, who is lighting up La Liga stadiums after a surprising transfer from Villareal to the Frogs.

Arsenal could sign him for just 35 million euros, per Diario Sport, which is a bargain fee compared to Gyokeres or even the other striker options available this coming January and summer markets.

The plan would apparently be for Arsenal to sign Eyong and then loan him back to Levante for six months before making him a key part of the team in the 2026/27 season, presumably replacing Jesus in the striker roster.
