"Suck It Up And Deal With It": Arsenal Star Sent Harsh Message Amid Controversial January Exit Rumours

Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly has been left out of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the November international break.

The Gunners went into the break with a 2-2 draw with Sunderland, which left them four points clear at the top of the Premier League table. Mikel Arteta‘s side will return from the break with a tough North London derby against Tottenham, which could extend their lead at the top of the league.

11 Arsenal players have been called up for international duty, but one player who didn’t is Myles Lewis-Skelly. It was the first time the Arsenal left back was left out of the England squad since Tuchel took over the National team.

Tuchel said that he decided to leave Lewis-Skelly out of the side because he isn’t getting enough game time at Arsenal, as he is behind Riccardo Calafiori. It has sparked suggestions that the 19-year-old could leave on loan in January.

Lewis-Skelly told he won’t leave Arsenal

The 19-year-old could look for a loan move in January to try and up his minutes ahead of the World Cup in the summer, however, former Premier League midfielder Jamie O’Hara believes there is no chance that he will get a loan move away.

O’Hara said on Sky Sports News: “He should go an ask Arteta, I want to go on loan in January, go to another Premier League club, play every week, stake my claim, and get himself on the plane. Arsenal, there’s no way they’re going to allow that to happen, so he’s just going to have to suck it up and deal with it and get himself back in the Arsenal team.

“In terms of him as a future star, Myles Lewis-Skelly is going to be an England international. He needs to fight his way back into the side, once he gets himself back into the Arsenal team, then Thomas Tuchel will look at him again.”

O’Hara did suggest that the selection issues that Lewis-Skelly faces aren’t all his fault though, he says it is more down to the fact that Calafiori has been so good.

“I think he’s [Lewis-Skelly] a brilliant footballer.” O’Hara said, “The first thing he needs to focus on is getting in front of Calafiori, because he was last season, and Calafiori’s come back this season, he’s performing well, and Arteta’s picking him in front of him.”
