Manchester United's Matheus Cunha has made his feelings clear about a hypothetical move to Arsenal. The versatile forward was Ruben Amorim's first summer signing, joining from Wolves in a £62.5million deal.

Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Senne Lammens later joined Cunha as new recruits for the 2025/26 season and beyond. The latter had a tough start at Old Trafford due to injury, but he has bounced back well. The 26-year-old netted his first goal for United in the 4-2 victory over Brighton.

He put in an unselfish performance as a false nine in the impressive 2-1 win at Liverpool the previous week, a role he also played in last weekend's draw with Tottenham.

Mbeumo, who bagged his fifth goal of the season in that match, has been more consistent in front of goal but Cunha's impact cannot be overlooked, as evidenced by him regaining his place in the starting XI ahead of Mason Mount.

There were several interested parties for both players, but Cunha's early summer move and Mbeumo's decision to wait for United shows that the pair only had eyes for Old Trafford.

Arsenal were one of the clubs linked with Cunha throughout 2025, but Mikel Arteta and his team sought attacking reinforcements elsewhere.

Noni Madueke, Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres all signed for the Gunners, with Cunha now seemingly ruling out any future move to the Emirates Stadium.

The Brazilian star was asked by a fan if he would ever consider joining Arsenal, to which Cunha responded with laughter. His reaction was recorded and posted to TikTok by @ttflake.

Brazil are preparing for friendly matches against Senegal and Tunisia in the coming days, with several United players already featuring for their respective countries.

Marcus Rashford clocked up 64 minutes in England's victory over Serbia, but it wasn't such a great night for other stars like Bryan Mbeumo, whose defeat to DR Congo means Cameroon won't be participating in next summer's World Cup.

Andre Onana, who is currently on loan at Trabzonspor from United, was unable to prevent Chancel Mbemba's late winner for Cameroon.

Portugal's spot at next summer's World Cup is yet to be confirmed after a 2-0 defeat to Ireland. Diogo Dalot played the entire match while Bruno Fernandes was suspended.

Cristiano Ronaldo was also shown a red card for elbowing Ipswich Town's Dara O'Shea.
