David Raya says the most charismatic footballer of all-time played for Man Utd

Arsenal and Spain goalkeeper David Raya has been tasked with naming the best-ever players in multiple categories, while selecting a former Manchester United star for his charisma.

David Raya kept a clean sheet against Manchester United in the first game of the Premier League season, with Arsenal winning 1-0 at Old Trafford.

It was a disappointing result, but United performed well enough to ensure there was still early-season optimism among the fans – albeit short-lived.

Arsenal scored the only goal in the game when Riccardo Calafiori’s header hit the back of the net, after Altay Bayindir directed a Declan Rice corner towards his own back post under pressure from William Saliba.

As things stand, United are seventh in the Premier League, eight points adrift of league leaders Arsenal.

David Raya admires Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s charisma

Raya is the top-performing goalkeeper in the Premier League this season, boasting seven clean sheets from the first 11 matches.

When challenged by ESPN to name the ultimate footballer in multiple categories, he couldn’t leave former United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic out of his selections when asked which player had the most charisma.

Ibrahimovic’s time at United was brief due to a knee injury, but he spent a total of two years at Old Trafford after joining on a free transfer in 2016.

The Swede’s arrival saw him reunite with manager Jose Mourinho, and he made an immediate impact in his first season, despite being aged 34.

Ibrahimovic scored 28 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions, with two of those goals coming in a Carabao Cup final victory over Southampton. He also played a pivotal role in United’s Europa League triumph in 2017, although a season-ending injury ruled him out of the final against his former club Ajax.
