Caitlin Foord admits Arsenal ‘couldn’t find the end product’ at Tottenham

**Caitlin Foord**felt ‘frustrated’ as **Arsenal**failed to return to winning ways in the league title race.

The Gunners went nine points adrift of **Man City**after they beat **Man United**3-0 on Saturday and there was no response from the title aspirants, who drew 0-0 against **Tottenham**the following day.

The forward acknowledged the contributions of her Australian compatriot, Kyra Cooney-Cross, who was introduced into the lineup for this encounter, but her work was not enough to take the triumph.

**Arsenal**are trying to find the ‘flow state’ that saw them finish in second spot last term under Renee Slegers and win the Champions League in May. Foord hopes that the team get closer to that rhythm as they host Real Madrid in a crucial contest at Meadow Park after a 3-2 loss to Bayern Munich.

“It’s frustrating. We came here to get the three points. Everyone worked to try to do that and we just weren't able to do it today. But credit Spurs. They made it difficult. They got numbers back and we just couldn't find the end product today.

“Just one [goal] goes in and then there'll be a few more to follow. But we could have done with a little bit of luck, something to fall our way. But we weren't able to get it. All down to Wednesday now.

“We know Kyra's qualities and the qualities across the squad, that anyone can step in and do their role and bring something different. She is able to spray balls out wide and get out of tight spaces.

“Her qualities today were something that I guess Renée was looking for the team to get the job done today. But as I said, with the squad we have, anyone can play and bring the best that they can do.

“[The supporters] were massive for us. Going towards them, the momentum and the energy they brought for us was huge today. It’s just unfortunate that we couldn't give them something to cheer even louder about. But, as I said before, we'll bring that Wednesday.”
