Arsenal have been hit with a couple of injury worries during the November international break.

Mikel Arteta's squad have positioned themselves brilliantly after 11 matches in the Premier League. The Gunners are sitting four points ahead of second-placed Manchester City and eight in front of last season's champions, Liverpool.

Arteta's men have secured eight victories, drawn two and suffered just one defeat in the league thus far. Their sole loss occurred at Anfield against Liverpool, thanks to a second-half free-kick from Dominik Szoboszlai.

However, there are multiple injury worries for Arteta's squad ahead of Sunday's journey to Tottenham Hotspur. Below is the latest update on Arsenal's fitness concerns....

Gabriel

Gabriel Magalhaes was spotted hobbling off during Brazil's encounter with Senegal on Saturday. The centre-half appeared to be in discomfort after clutching what seemed to be a groin problem on his right side.

Gabriel's face told the whole story, and he buried his head in his shirt in frustration as he left the field. Brazil boss Carlo Ancelotti initially stated Gabriel had picked up an adductor problem but scans revealed he had sustained a thigh injury.

In a statement on Sunday, the Brazilian Football Confederation announced: "Arsenal player Gabriel Magalhaes was re-evaluated this Sunday (16) and underwent imaging tests that revealed a muscle injury in his right thigh.

"Therefore, the player will not travel with the team to the match against Tunisia in Lille. No other player will be called up to replace him."

Potential return date: Unknown.

Viktor Gyokeres

Viktor Gyokeres picked up a hamstring problem at Burnley on November 1. The Swedish striker was absent for matches against Slavia Prague and Sunderland before the international break and wasn't called up to the Sweden squad for the current international period.

Arteta revealed before the international break that Arsenal were still awaiting full details of the injury's severity. The Gunners face crucial fixtures ahead with Tottenham on Sunday, Bayern Munich in the Champions League next Wednesday and then Chelsea on November 30.

Potential return date: Unknown.

Martin Odegaard

Martin Odegaard hasn't featured for the Gunners since sustaining a knee problem against West Ham United on October 4. This came after a difficult period where Odegaard battled shoulder troubles.

Norway manager Stale Solbakken believes Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard is "some distance away" from making his comeback.

Potential return date: Unknown.

Riccardo Calafiori

Riccardo Calafiori was compelled to abandon his international duties with Italy and head back to London. Italian reports confirmed the defender left the Italy camp on Saturday, ruling him out of his country's 2026 World Cup qualifier against Norway on Sunday evening.

He will now travel back to London, where Arsenal medics will examine him. Italy manager Gennaro Gattuso commented: "He tried to be available but he can't force now," about Calafiori's circumstances.

Potential return date: Unknown.

Kai Havertz

Kai Havertz has appeared for merely 30 minutes this campaign, during Arsenal's season opener against Manchester United. Throughout the match, he picked up a knee problem that necessitated minor surgery, with Arteta recently clarifying that he'll need careful monitoring before he's cleared to return.

Discussing Havertz a few weeks back, Arteta commented: "Let's see how he absorbs the load first when he starts to train with us, and when he's done that, obviously we're going to have to, especially in the first few weeks, keep an eye on him to manage the amount of minutes and when we play him."

Potential return date: Early December.

Gabriel Martinelli

Martinelli has been absent from Arsenal's previous four fixtures after picking up an injury against Crystal Palace in October, and wasn't even included in the squad against Sunderland. Nevertheless, he might be available to feature again once the international break concludes.

Potential return date: Late November.
