Declan Rice has shown support for Jarrod Bowen after the West Ham star featured for England again on Sunday.

Bowen earned praise for his England display against Albania, as the Three Lions closed their dominant World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2‑0 victory.

There have been concerns over Bowen’s England involvement ahead of the 2026 World Cup, with Thomas Tuchel soon having to make big decisions.

However, Bowen has done himself the world of good with his display, prompting former West Ham teammate Rice to send him a message.

Tuchel has a massive headache when it comes to selecting his England squads, but Rice has established himself as the first-choice defensive midfielder.

Bowen, on the other hand, is fighting an uphill battle with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Cole Palmer, and Noni Madueke for a spot on the right.

The West Ham captain took to Instagram to share a message with supporters after England’s successful qualifying campaign, with Rice responding.

Rice said: “My brother,” with two love heart emojis.

Bowen has a decision to make in January, which could prove pivotal for his hopes of playing at the 2026 World Cup.

Staying at West Ham is Bowen’s best option for England hopes

West Ham had a miserable start to the season with Graham Potter, but since the arrival of Nuno Espirito Santo, things have started to look better for the Hammers.

Although things didn’t get off to a great start under Nuno, West Ham are now looking up the Premier League table following their first consecutive wins of the season before the international break.

Bowen has been tipped for a West Ham exit, however, with Liverpool interested.

However, Bowen is the main man for the Irons, and his best shot at travelling to America with England next year is by staying in E20.

The right-winger will be able to shine consistently and not have any of the attention taken off him by staying put with the Hammers.

But with big offers impending, Bowen may be swayed to jump ship in January.
