Manchester United have a famed academy known for nurturing young superstars.
According to journalist Samuel Luckhurst, two Man United wonderkids are under consideration for promotion to the first-team squad next season.
Goalkeeper Radek Vitek and defender Harry Amass are in line for a “shock promotion” after excelling on loan in the Championship.
Amass already made his senior United debut under manager Ruben Amorim last season.
He made seven appearances but was surprisingly not included in the pre-season tour to the United States.
It was revealed later that the club had decided to send him on loan to help him earn regular minutes.
Amass is currently on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and has impressed with his superb displays.
He has started in all 11 league games for the Championship outfit and also scored a scintillating goal against Southampton before the November international break.
All of his performances have come from the left wing-back position, a role not yet settled in Amorim’s team.
Patrick Dorgu and Diogo Dalot have shared minutes, but neither has been able to put their case forward as a first-choice wing-back.
Diego Leon was signed earlier this summer but he is spending time with the development teams to acclimatise to English football.
Amass will have the opportunity next season to show why he is rated so highly at Carrington.
Vitek is enjoying a sensational loan spell at Bristol City.
The 22-year-old has kept five clean sheets, joint-third most in the Championship this term.
Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana are expected to leave the club on permanent deals next summer.
Tom Heaton could also call time on his United career.
The Red Devils must promote Vitek to the first team to challenge Senne Lammens for the number one shirt.
