Eberechi Eze shares his'honest'verdict on Marcus Rashford after seeing him in England training

Arsenal star Eberechi Eze has been singing Marcus Rashford’s praises after linking up with his England teammate during the November international break.

Marcus Rashford has been in good form this season for Barcelona and England as he looks forward to competing at next summer’s World Cup finals.

The 28-year-old joined Barcelona on a season-long loan after falling out of favour at Manchester United under Ruben Amorim. There is an option in the deal to make it permanent for £28 million at the end of the season.

Although Rashford left Old Trafford temporarily, albeit under a grey cloud, the United loanee has recorded six goals and nine assists across all competitions for Barcelona. That means he has more assists than any player in Europe’s top five leagues.

Rashford has also earned a place back in the England national team under Thomas Tuchel ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

“I say first session was Rashy,” Eze said.

“So I’ve known him or known of him because he’s playing in a similar age group across the country. When you go to tournaments, you’ll see him and stuff like that.

“And so I’ve always known he’s a good player but from that first camp I remember going away like okay this guy’s on some other stuff.

“The way he strikes a ball, the way he runs with the ball, the way he operates. He’s an incredible, incredible player, someone who, I’ll be honest, I enjoy watching man, I enjoy watching him play.”

Other top players in training include Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and Harry Kane – but it was Rashford who caught Eze’s attention.
