Journalist Marc Brus has suggested that the Guinea international could become available via a €50 million release clause in his contract, though sources have claimed the clause applies only to a limited group of top clubs.
At this stage, it remains unclear whether Manchester United, alongside Arsenal, fall on that list, but both clubs reportedly like the 29-year-old’s profile. He has delivered an outstanding return of 45 goals in 65 appearances for Dortmund, and that makes him an immediate solution for teams needing a reliable forward.
The Gunners seem to value his accuracy in front of goal and broad experience, while United’s interest comes from manager Ruben Amorim wanting to strengthen the attack with proven quality. With Benjamin Šeško sidelined and Joshua Zirkzee possibly leaving in January, the situation leaves United short on depth.
