Man Utd early team news and injury latest as they face Everton in the Premier League on Monday night.

Manchester United have ruled two players out of their upcoming clash with Everton in the Premier League on Monday night. United return to action when they host the Toffees at Old Trafford after the international break and head into the match on the back of a five-match unbeaten run.

United are already set to be without the injured Benjamin Sesko for the Everton match and have been handed two new injury scares ahead of the encounter. Sesko withdrew from international duty after he suffered a knee injury in the recent draw against Tottenham Hotspur and is set for a few weeks on the sidelines.

Harry Maguire will also miss the Everton match, while Kobbie Mainoo is considered a doubt after he missed their training session on Friday morning. It is unclear whether the academy graduate will take part in their last training session before the match over the weekend.

United duo ruled out of Everton clash

Manchester United welcomed the majority of their international players back to Carrington on Friday morning as they geared up for the clash against Everton in the Premier League. The club broadcast live footage of their training session on Friday morning, with three players absent from the session.

Benjamin Sesko did not feature in the training drills as he is currently sidelined due to a knee injury, while Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo were not spotted taking part either. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Ruben Amorim said: "He (Sesko) is going to stay a few weeks out. I don’t know how long, but it’s not that serious. We have to be careful with him. He is going to recover and he is feeling better.”

Quizzed on other team news, he added: “Maguire is not ready, Kobbie did not train today, but I think tomorrow we could see Kobbie, so we’ll see. Licha is coming close to be ready to play. Of course, we need to be careful with his first minutes, but he's clearly in a better position than two weeks ago.”

Lisandro Martinez was present in the latest training session as he nears his return to action after almost ten months on the sidelines. United allowed him to take part in a training camp with the Argentine national side over the international break, but refused to let him be considered for selection. The popular centre-back trained with his compatriots in Europe last week but did not feature in their friendly match against Angola on Friday.

United also sent a member of their performance team to support him while away with the national side. Martinez returned to Manchester over the weekend and took part in a training session on Tuesday, alongside those who had not been selected for international duty and a host of academy stars. Shea Lacey and Jack Fletcher were also involved.
