Manchester United players are reportedly spending extra time at the training ground as they look to continue the turnaround under Ruben Amorim. The new state-of-the-art Carrington facilities opened in August with the squad looking to make the most of what’s available.
The Sun reports that the United squad are due to arrive at the training ground at 9am every morning, however, players are instead showing up at just after 8am. They then remain for hours after training.
The report adds that some players spend up to seven hours a day using the facilities, which include an expanded communal area with a pool table, a games room and a barbershop. The overhaul of the training ground is said to have cost around £50million.
Some players are also reported to have used the ice baths and saunas available on the Sunday evening upon their return from the 2-1 away win against Liverpool last month as they looked to get a head start in their recovery.
United have had an upturn in form following a difficult start to the season, which led to some questions over the future of Amorim. That talk has now quietened with the team unbeaten in their last five Premier League games.
They have, however, drawn their last two games 2-2 and will be looking to get back to winning ways when they host Everton at Old Trafford on Monday night (8pm kick-off).

Speaking when opening the revamped training facility, United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe said: “While a world-class facility won’t take us to that place alone, I think it is one of the key ingredients in the modern world.
"I think here now we have a world-class training facility.
“Thanks to Ruben and the sports staff for being adaptable for the last 12 months. It was a difficult year, and it was not the perfect training facilities that you had to put up with. I hope you enjoy your new home and I hope it helps take Manchester United where Manchester United needs to go."
The news comes days after it was announced that fans will be given a chance to tour the facilities following the refurbishment.
A £100 ticket allows supporters to experience a four-hour tour, which includes both Old Trafford and the Carrington training ground. During the tour, fans can get a glimpse of the swimming pool, cafeteria, recovery areas and press conference rooms, although no photography is permitted.
