Manchester United will be looking to make it six games unbeaten when they face Everton on Monday night. After enduring a dismal start to the campaign, the Red Devils are now firing on all cylinders under Ruben Amorim. They could break into the Premier League's top four if they beat the Toffees and other results go their way.
Even though United have avoided defeat in their last five games, their two most recent outings have ended in draws. They will be the favourites to win against Everton, who are mired in lower mid-table after a mixed bag of results under David Moyes. The former Red Devils manager will be hoping to spring a surprise at Old Trafford, but it will certainly be a difficult task.
Express Sport takes a look at how United could line up in Monday's fixture...
Goalkeeper - Lammens
United's summer recruit has impressed since arriving at Old Trafford and will almost certainly start against Everton. That said, the Belgian is without a clean sheet in his last four games since keeping one against Sunderland.
He will be looking to end that streak by securing a shut-out on Monday night, with Everton having scored just 12 goals so far this season.
Defence - Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw
The back three essentially picks itself with Matthijs de Ligt almost guaranteed to start whenever he is fit. Luke Shaw has proven himself as a good fit on the left, while Leny Yoro is the most likely option on the right.
However, there may be a temptation to play Harry Maguire for a greater aerial threat, especially from set-pieces.
Midfield - Amad, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dorgu
United have settled on a midfield duo of Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes in recent weeks. That is unlikely to change against Everton as the Red Devils look to control the engine room.
Amad is essentially a guaranteed starter on the right, while Patrick Dorgu played well for Denmark over the international break and could feature on the left.
Attack - Mbeumo, Mount, Cunha
The big question for United will be up front, with Benjamin Sesko sidelined due to the injury he picked up against Tottenham. While there have been murmurs of a recall for Joshua Zirkzee, it seems more likely that Matheus Cunha will get the nod.
He impressed as the lone striker in the victory over Liverpool and should get another chance to lead the line against their Merseyside neighbours.
Predicted XI vs Everton (3-4-2-1) - Lammens; Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dorgu; Mbeumo, Mount; Cunha.
