Manchester United face a number of decisions with the January transfer window now rapidly-approaching. From January 1, clubs will be able to complete business, while players out of contract in the summer can also begin talks with overseas sides over pre-agreements.

Several United players have seen limited game-time this season and could be moved on in the New Year. Joshua Zirkzee and Kobbie Mainoo have struggled for minutes, with the latter starting just one game in the Carabao Cup.

Zirkzee has yet to make a single start, featuring for only 90 minutes across five substitute appearances. With the World Cup on the horizon, meanwhile, players will be keen for regular football to boost their chance of a call-up.

With that said, MEN Sport has taken a look at the latest transfer headlines from in and around Old Trafford;

Andre Onana 'plan'

Out-on-loan goalkeeper Andre Onana is reportedly eager to revive his United career once he returns to the club from Trabzonspor. The 29-year-old is spending the campaign in Turkey after losing his No.1 position at Old Trafford following a series of high-profile errors last year.

According to The i Paper, the Cameroon international still hopes to reclaim the gloves upon the conclusion of his loan spell. However, sources close to Onana suggest that a transfer to another Premier League team has not been ruled out, either.

MEN Sport says: With a club of United's stature, players are naturally driven to remain part of the squad for as long as possible. For Onana, that motivation may be even stronger after a turbulent campaign last season. That season, marked by high-profile mistakes, cost him his place and he could now feel he has unfinished business and a point to prove.

Goalkeeper 'bid'

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen's challenging situation at Barcelona has been closely watched by clubs, including United. According to Spanish outlet El Desmarque, Ter Stegen's plan is to leave Barcelona in search of regular game-time ahead of the World Cup next summer.

United are claimed to have already made an offer alongside Besiktas ahead of January's window However, it's also said that Besiktas bid is "much more firm", but a decision will reputedly only be made once he returns to full fitness.

MEN Sport says: This is interesting considering Senne Lammens was brought in only this summer. If it's true, the move could signal that United see no future for Onana.

Casemiro future 'decision'

The Sun report that United will not activate the one-year extension in Casemiro's contract. The Brazil midfielder - who is on a reported £300,000-a-week - will see his contract run out at the end of the season.

MEN Sport says: This is the sensible approach to take with the club looking to cut down costs further. By cutting costs now, United can create greater flexibility in the transfer market, ensuring funds are available for potentially key reinforcements when opportunities arise.
