United have not played a match since before the start of the November international break, with the Red Devils winning three of their last five Premier League fixtures.

Monday’s encounter with David Moyes’ Everton side is the Red Devils’ first match at Old Trafford since United’s 4-2 win over Brighton in the Premier League in October.

United have dropped points in their last two league fixtures after 2-2 draws against Nottingham Forest at City Ground and Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Ruben Amorim shows the importance of Man Utd fans ahead of the Everton match at Old Trafford

United have effectively been reduced to one match per week for the majority of the 2025-26 Premier League season so far after failing to secure European football.

United manager Ruben Amorim admitted that he has missed seeing the Red Devils play in front of their own fans at Old Trafford ahead of the Everton match.

“That is the best thing, because in the recent past it was hard to play at home,” he told Manchester United’s official website.

“But nowadays, you miss playing at home; that is a feeling we should have in our club.

“I’m really excited to be back playing at home and the players also. We need to continue winning at home.”

United are seventh in the Premier League table and the Red Devils have won three of their last five league matches under Amorim in the 2025-26 campaign.
