Manchester United host Everton in the Premier League on Monday night.
After a relatively disastrous first 11 months in charge of the Red Devils, Rúben Amorim has overseen a marked improvement in recent weeks.
United have won three and drawn two of their last five matches in the Premier League, and they could move as high as fourth in the top flight standings if other results go their way and they defeat the Toffees.
It now appears that United are also set to be handed a boost away from the action, too.
According to CaughtOffside, United are in pole position to sign Ajax midfielder Jorthy Mokio.
The report claims that the Red Devils are one of a number of Premier League sides monitoring the 17-year-old, who is quickly establishing himself as one of the most exciting young prospects in Europe.

While Chelsea and Liverpool are said to have cooled their interest in Mokio, both Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United remain interested in the teenager.
Mokio joined Ajax from Belgian side Gent back in 2024 and has since forced his way into the first team in Amsterdam.
He has now played 29 appearances for the Dutch side across all competitions, but the report appears to suggest that his future could lie away from the Dutch capital.
It is claimed that the Belgian is keen to leave Ajax amid doubt surrounding the club’s sporting project, with Ajax having already lost seven times this term.
Man United are said to have offered the player a clear development pathway and the guarantee of first team football, which puts the Manchester outfit in pole position to sign the midfielder.
Mokio’s current contract with Ajax is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 season.
