Manchester United’s loanees had an eventful day at work, with Radek Vitek continuing his excellence for Bristol City, while another loanee scored a goal and an own goal in the same game.
With as many as 18 loans sanctioned this season, Man Utd fans have plenty to look forward to on each matchday.
Even excluding players like Andre Onana, Rasmus Hojlund, or Jadon Sancho, who will never play for the club again, there’s a mix of exciting youngsters on loan.

Radek Vitek for Bristol City is going from strength to strength, and he continued doing so in their latest game, while another loanee had a weird game.

Radek Vitek shines for Bristol City
“Radek Vitek impresses for Bristol City” seems to be becoming a weekly statement because the Man Utd loanee is setting new standards with every game.
He’s keeping City’s first-choice goalkeeper out of the team with his performances, and he has already become a huge fan favourite.
Are you confident Manchester United will beat Everton?
In their most recent game, Vitek kept another clean sheet with an imposing performance in a 3-0 win against Swansea.

The win takes Bristol City to fourth in the table, and despite winning by three goals, they had Vitek to thank for the clean sheet.
He prevented goals worth 0.88 xG, and showed his sweeper instincts with five throws, seven recoveries, and one punch. (Stats courtesy Fotmob)
City manager Gerhard Struber called him a “wall” after the game: “They had one rather big chance, but we have, again, [Radek] Vitek. He was the wall.”
While Vitek had another fine outing, the same can’t be said quite as clearly for Ethan Wheatley, who scored a goal and an own goal in the same game.
Ethan Wheatley headlines other Man Utd loanees
Wheatley has been impressing for lowly Northampton Town this season, and he was at it again, scoring a fine goal in their 1-3 loss to Cardiff City.
However, that joy of scoring was quickly taken away by an unfortunate moment as he appeared to deflect a corner straight into his own net.
As per Fotmob, Wheatley scored a goal and an own goal against Cardiff to sum up a contrasting day.
He was also the player who completed the most dribbles, but with the fewest touches, to continue the theme of dealing in extremes.
On other fronts, Daniel Gore continued to get over his injury worries with another game for Rotherham. Toby Collyer had a poor game off the bench for West Brom against league leaders Coventry City.
Ethan Williams showed some nice touches for Falkirk, Jack Moorhouse didn’t play for Leyton Orient, while Ethan Ennis impressed for Fleetwood Town.
