Diego León has a chance of leaving Manchester United on loan in the winter market.
That’s according to journalist Uriel Iugt, and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide a short update.
Manchester United confirmed the 18-year-old’s arrival from Cerro Porteño in July. Last month, he said it was the work of destiny that he ended up at Old Trafford.
The left-back is yet to make his debut for the Red Devils’ first team and has had to settle for four appearances for Manchester United’s U21s so far. This didn’t stop him from making his debut for Paraguay’s senior team in October.
Iugt claims the fullback wouldn’t mind leaving Manchester United and joining another club on loan in January to enjoy regular minutes.
This is relayed by Versus in Paraguay, and they share their own update on this case.
The player has already impressed Ruben Amorim at Manchester United even though he’s yet to feature under the Portuguese. Amorim believes it’s ‘too early’ to consider León in the Premier League.
Versus insist it’s ‘most likely’ that León will go out on loan at another European club but aren’t certain whether it’ll be in the Premier League.
