Tottenham are interested in signing Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer
Tottenham Hotspur have been enjoying an excellent away record in the Premier League until Sunday’s North London derby. Having picked up 13 points from a possible 15 on their travels, they made the short journey to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal.
Arsenal gave Spurs a reality check, battering 4-1 and bagging the bragging rights. There was a gulf in class between the sides, and had it not been for goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, Tottenham could’ve lost by a bigger margin. Despite Thomas Frank playing an extra centre-back in Kevin Danso, the visitors were all over the place defensively as the Gunners cut through them several times throughout the game.
Overall under Thomas Frank, Tottenham have looked solid defensively, limiting opposition chances and showing resilience against difficult opponents. However, the lack of depth continues to be a concern, something the Hotspur Way chiefs are planning to address in the next transfer windows.

Tottenham eyeing move for Gleison Bremer
According to a report from Football Italia, Tottenham are interested in signing Juventus defender Gleison Bremer.
The north Londoners are trying to take advantage of their strong relationship with CAA Base, the agency that represents the central defender. The same company also manages five current Tottenham players and assistant coach Matt Wells, as well as former boss Ange Postecoglou. This could potentially smoothen the negotiations between Spurs and Juventus.
Gleison Bremer has been a consistent performer for Juventus since joining from Turin rivals Torino in the summer of 2022. The Brazilian international has established himself as one of most reliable defenders in Serie A, thanks to his mix of aerial prowess, technical ability, reading of the game and leadership skills.
The aforementioned report adds Spurs view the 28-year-old as a potential replacement for Ben Davies, who is out of contract at the end of the season and most likely to depart the club after more than a decade-long service. Any deal would likely cost in excess of €50 million as Bremer still has four-years remaining on his deal at Juventus.

Spurs must avoid Bremer move
There are no doubts over Bremer’s quality and experience, but it is worth noting that the defender has not played much since October 2024. He suffered a crucial ligament tear last year and missed the rest of the campaign. The Brazilian made just five appearances this season before undergoing meniscus surgery in September due to a consistent issue in training. He is due to return next month, as Juventus have struggled defensively without the presence of Bremer.
Keeping his recent injury troubles in mind and the fact that he will turn 29 in March 2026, Spurs must avoid shelling out over €50 million for Bremer. Instead, the club must look out for a younger alternative to the Juventus star to add much-needed depth to our centre-back ranks.
