David Moyes watched on from the Old Trafford dugout as Everton were reduced to 10 men after Idrissa Gueye was sent off for an incident involving Michael Keane.

Despite the red card to Idrissa Gueye, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall broke the deadlock in the 29th minute with a sensational effort from the edge of the United box.

Senne Lammens was unable to keep out Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s strike, despite the United summer signing getting his hand to the ball before it hit the back of his net.

Man Utd fans are critical of Bruno Fernandes, but Kobbie Mainoo’s performance against Everton catches their eyes

Bruno Fernandes missed clear-cut chances to find the all-important equaliser for Manchester United in the Everton match at Old Trafford on Monday evening.

Kobbie Mainoo replaced Casemiro in the 58th minute and the United midfielder’s overall performance left much to be desired, including for Red Devils supporters.

One United fan asked: “What has Mainoo done since coming on? Not a thing.”

Somebody else said: “Mainoo should have been loaned out. Keeping him on the bench has left him out of form, shape and intensity.”

“That Mainoo performance hurts, son,” a fifth posted.

Someone else suggested: “Mainoo couldn’t move like he used to. Man was keeping it safe. What have you done, Amorim?”

A seventh X user wrote: “He genuinely looks like he’s lost his spark.”

And an eighth simply tweeted: “Mainoo is miles off it.”

Kobbie Mainoo’s lack of playing time for Man Utd showed in his second-half cameo against Everton at Old Trafford

Kobbie Mainoo went from being a regular starter under former Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag to struggling for United first-team minutes under manager Ruben Amorim.

The 20-year-old Stockport-born talent has not started a single Premier League match this season and Mainoo has been reduced to cameo appearances.

Who was the most DISAPPOINTING Man Utd player vs Everton?

Mainoo’s lack of playing time could not be clearer after the Everton result on Monday evening, with the United talent looking a shadow of his former self.

Ruben Amorim must look at ways of getting the England international more minutes this season after United did not allow Mainoo to leave the club in the summer on loan.

Following the Everton match at Old Trafford on Monday, United will now visit Selhurst Park on 30th November to face Premier League side Crystal Palace.
