Manchester United's five-game unbeaten run in the Premier League came to an end after a disappointing defeat to Everton at Old Trafford. The Toffees went down to 10 men after Idrissa Gueye was sent off for slapping his own teammate Michael Keane, but United weren't able to take advantage.

The defeat meant Ruben Amorim's side missed the opportunity to climb back into the top-four ahead of a crucial period of fixtures. The United boss was able to welcome back Lisandro Martinez to the bench for the defeat to the Toffees, but has a lack of options in the final third due to injuries.

Aside from that, United have a relatively clean bill of health heading into an important festive period.

Here we take a look at the latest injury concerns following the defeat to Everton.

Matheus Cunha

The Brazilian was left out of Manchester United's defeat to Everton after picking up an injury during training, but the Portuguese head coach did not believe the injury was a serious one.

Amorim said: "It was a knock in training so I don't know how long he's going to stay out, I think it's nothing serious, but we cannot risk players. We have to show everybody, when you are not 100%, we have a different player to cope with the demands of the game."

Potential return date: Unknown.

Benjamin Sesko

Man United were without their summer signing for the defeat against Everton and Amorim is expecting to be without Benjamin Sesko for the next few weeks.

The United boss said: "He is going to stay out for a few weeks, I don't know how long, but it is not that serious. We have to be careful with him; he is doing the recovery and is feeling better. So in a few weeks, I expect to have Ben."

Potential return date: December

Harry Maguire

The Man United centre-half is still absent with a thigh injury and Amorim has not given much away regarding when the England international may return to full fitness.

"Maguire is not ready," Amorim said in his pre-match press conference ahead of the clash with Everton.

Potential return date: December.
