Near-perfect England, Doncaster Rovers' malaise and Sheffield Wednesday square up to Sheffield United - The YP FootballTalk Podcast
Manchester United defender Harry Amass is reportedly happy to remain on loan at Sheffield Wednesday.
The 18-year-old joined the Owls on loan in the summer window and was the club’s only outfield addition.
Wednesday’s financial troubles made a regular window impossible and a deal was only allowed after Manchester United pledged to cover the required costs.
As Wednesday were beaten by their bitter rivals Sheffield United at the weekend, he was one of the few Owls to come away with credit.

Harry Amass latest
Reports have indicated Wednesday are open to the prospect of Amass’ loan deal, which expires in January, being extended until the end of the season.
How a player feels, however, is key when it comes to negotiating deals. Wednesday may not have any problems on that front, with The Athletic having claimed Amass is happy to stay in S6.
It has been a turbulent campaign for Wednesday, but the chaotic environment has seemingly accelerated the defender’s development.
He has been shining on the international stage too, turning in some strong displays for England Under-19s.

Henrik Pedersen’s praise
He said: “He was really happy when he came back [from international duty] because he said 'wow gaffer, I can feel I'm better now, I feel it's easier to play those games now'. It was a happy boy we got back from the national team and he is also really, really looking forward to Sunday.”
Manchester United plucked Amass from Watford’s youth system back in 2023. Prior to his loan switch to Wednesday, the left-back had managed seven senior outings for the Red Devils. This season, he has amassed 12 appearances for Wednesday.
