Yannick Bolasie has criticised Gary Neville for his commentary during Manchester United's 1-0 defeat to Everton on Sky Sports. The former Reds defender was in the gantry at Old Trafford on Monday night as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall snatched three points for the Toffees.
Everton were down to 10 men within the opening 15 minutes after Idrissa Gueye locked horns with Michael Keane. A few moments later, the former Chelsea midfielder put the Toffees in the lead with a superb shot from the edge of the box.
Despite dominating possession for the rest of the match, United were unable to break through Everton's defence. As Ruben Amorim's side struggled to equalise, Neville's frustration grew, and by the 60th minute, Bolasie had heard enough.
The former Toffees winger accused Neville of 'giggling all over the microphone' and acting like he's the 'second coming of Pep Guardiola'. On X, previously known as Twitter, Bolasie posted: "I'm watching this game on mute [crying with laughter emoji].
"I respect opinions but not when he's giggling all over the mic thinking he's the second coming of guardiola, allow it... great player but the tactics give it a rest laaaad."
Bolasie's post resonated with thousands of other Sky Sports customers, raking in over 14,000 likes. One user, @HalfMastermind, replied: "What a legend Yannick, Cook that Valancia flop."
Even a Liverpool fan, @LFCANONYMOUS27, jumped to Bolasie's defence, writing: "Everyone talking about his pl titles mind you he said nothing about him as a player and we all know how it ended when he tried to play manager."
Meanwhile, an Arsenal fan, @snowflake_tv, posted: "I donno why you guys hate him that much. He is one of the greatest (if not the greatest) pundit today.
"He is always bang on with his analysis. Not quite the same for predictions as football is so unpredictable. He is always backing his arguments with reason, facts and logic."

United squandered the opportunity to climb into the top four on Monday night, dropping the curtain on a five-game unbeaten streak. Speaking to reporters after the game, Amorim conceded that his side are far from where they want to be.
"Frustration, disappointment about the way we play the game," said the Reds boss. "I think they were the better team with 11, they defend really well with 10 men [for] 70 minutes.
"So I think we deserved to lose, we didn’t play well, we didn’t play with the right intensity, and that’s it," added Amorim. "We talk about this a lot of times. I know which point we are in the moment, I have that feeling during this run.
"I will always talk about that. So we are not there, not even near, the point that we should be to fight for the best positions in the league, we have a lot to do and we need to be perfect to win games, and we were not perfect today."
