Everton secured a memorable three points against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night.
Everton had to defend with 10 men for the majority of the game after Idrissa Gana Gueye’s red card, but they fully deserved the win in the end.
Gary Neville was so impressed by Jordan Pickford, as he made a sensational save against Joshua Zirkzee in the latter stages of the game.
Everton made history with THAT win at Old Trafford!
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall received tons of praise as well, with his curling right-footed strike in the first half turning out to be the match-winner.
You could see the emotion in Dewsbury-Hall’s face as he wheeled away to celebrate, and here’s why that goal would’ve meant so much on a personal level.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is actually a Manchester United
Speaking to Sport Bible back in 2022, Dewsbury-Hall revealed that he was actually a Manchester United fan growing up and Paul Scholes was his idol.
“I just think he (Scholes) was a master,” Dewsbury-Hall said with a big smile. “He was someone I looked up to growing up.

“I was always trying to get little things off him and add them to my game. He was always the main man for me. He must have had five or six eyes in his head. Some of the things he used to do, you’d think ‘how did he see that?’
“He was my idol. It’s always been him and it always will be. Everything he did was unbelievable. I think he is one of the best midfielders of all time. There are parts of our games that are similar as well. We’re both small and we’re both technically sound. I think I’ve seen every clip you could probably watch of Paul Scholes on YouTube.”
So, yesterday was probably extra special for Dewsbury-Hall as he netted a sensational goal against the team he supported.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall looks back to his best
Dewsbury-Hall got off to a brilliant start to his Everton career, but then his performances dropped, and some fans wanted him to be dropped or perhaps played as a central midfielder, rather than a number 10.
But over the last two games against Fulham and United, the Toffees midfielder has looked back to his best.
Dewsbury-Hall was probably the best player on the pitch against Fulham, and he was exceptional again last night.
Cole Palmer congratulated Dewsbury-Hall on Instagram last night, so clearly he’s a well-liked member of every dressing room he’s been in.
He may be asked to drop a little deeper with Gueye now suspended for three games, but Moyes could then bring Tyler Dibling in.
