Everton fan poll shows Sky Sports got Man of the Match wrong vs Man United

Everton sent their fans into raptures at Old Trafford with an unlikely victory despite playing most of the game without Idrissa Gana Gueye.

It was a night to remember for Everton as they ended their 12-year drought without a win in the Premier League away to Manchester United.

Despite having managed over 1000 games, it was also David Moyes’ first victory away to his former club.

Thomas Tuchel spoke to Jack Grealish and James Garner after full-time in the tunnel at Old Trafford following a heroic display from the Englishmen.

However, it was another Englishman who stole the headline for Everton as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored the only goal of the game to seal the points.

But it was apparent that not all Everton fans agreed with Sky Sports awarding the Man of the Match prize to their goalscorer.

Who was your MOTM vs Man United?

It was a night where the 10 men left on the pitch for the Blues all deserved credit for their performances at a stadium where Everton have struggled for so many years.

Jordan Pickford is going from strength to strength

Back-to-back wins for the Blues and back-to-back clean sheets for Pickford in the Everton goal.

Neville was stunned by Pickford’s save to deny Joshua Zirkzee in the final 10 minutes of the game, with the result still on the line.

Where does Jordan Pickford rank among Premier League goalkeepers?

If there were still any doubts, Pickford silenced them with the national manager sitting in the stands watching him keep the Red Devils at bay.

Dimitar Berbatov agreed Pickford was Everton’s best player, with the 31-year-old making six total saves during the 90 minutes.

Finally, the Everton shot stopper is getting the credit he deserves.
