Manchester United’s U21 side were back in action on Tuesday in the National League Cup, taking on Solihull Moors in a 4-1 loss.

For Manchester United U21, it was a heavy defeat that awaited them this week against National League side Solihull Moors.

It was matchday three for the Red Devils in the National League Cup, and the 4-1 defeat all but ended the chances of progressing further.

Shea Lacey was unused by Ruben Amorim on Monday night, but remains with the first team and didn’t play against Solihull Moors, while Chido Obi was also absent, indicating he is set to be involved on Sunday against Crystal Palace.

Bendito Mantato scored United’s solitary goal, as the Red Devils were beaten by a quick-fire double scored by the hosts in the first-half.
