Man Utd trio lined up for loan moves in January, including Ayden Heaven

The January transfer window is almost upon us, and Manchester United are assessing the squad to decide which players should be sent on loan for the remainder of the season.

Manchester United sent over 15 players on loan in the summer, including Jadon Sancho, as well as several academy prospects.

Ruben Amorim will hope that the majority of these players return with more experience under their belt at the senior level. For the likes of Sancho, it’s an opportunity to put himself in the transfer window when he becomes a free agent in the summer.

Other players like Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund are also playing for moves in the future because they are unlikely to play for United again.

It’s a different story for players like Radek Vitek and Harry Amass, who have been impressing in the Championship this season. Vitek is hoping to make his United debut in the future, while Amass will be aiming for more appearances under Amorim.

Ayden Heaven could leave Man Utd on loan

At least three United players could be sent out on loan in January.

According to the Daily Mail, Ayden Heaven, Diego Leon and Sekou Kone face loan moves away from Old Trafford midway through the season.

Heaven showed plenty of promise under Amorim last season following his January transfer from Arsenal, although he has been limited to just three appearances this season.

Poll: Should Man Utd buy another left wing-back?

As for Leon, who joined United from Cerro Porteno during the summer, he has only been named on the bench three times this season. A loan move could benefit his development at the senior level after recently making his debut for the Paraguay national team.

Kone has been at United for over a year, but the 19-year-old doesn’t appear to be any closer to the first team, despite there being clear issues in midfield.

Ayden Heaven called into U21 squad for minutes

Heaven started for the U21s in the National League Cup tie against Solihull Moors on Tuesday night.

The young defender was on the bench for United’s 1-0 defeat against Everton on Monday night, but Amorim did not bring him on.

Heaven’s last appearance for United’s first team came in the 4-2 win against Brighton as he came on as a substitute, assisting Bryan Mbeumo’s second goal.

His only start this season came in the embarrassing Carabao Cup defeat to Grimsby Town.
