Senne Lammens arrived at Manchester United in September, but he has already risked upsetting some of his teammates by naming the best finisher in the current squad.
After a summer transfer from Royal Antwerp to Manchester United, Senne Lammens quickly became the first-choice goalkeeper under Ruben Amorim because Andre Onana had joined Trabzonspor on loan for the entire season.
Lammens’ performances have led to high praise from Sir Alex Ferguson, but it is still early days for the 23-year-old at Old Trafford, and there will inevitably be bumps on the road.
The young Belgian suffered his first defeat since joining in the summer when United lost 1-0 against Everton on Monday night.
Lammens will be aiming to respond to that result with a win and a clean sheet when United travel to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Senne Lammens names Bruno Fernandes as Man Utd’s best finisher
Lammens is one of United’s most recent arrivals, so he is still getting to know each of his teammates as well as Amorim’s coaching staff.
As one of five new United signings, Lammens made a guest appearance on the new United podcast Inside Carrington.
Lammens revealed that he idolised Cristiano Ronaldo and Roy Keane during his younger years, but he was also asked about the best finisher in the current squad.

Bryan Mbeumo may be the top scorer with six goals this season, but Lammens has named Bruno Fernandes as the best finisher in the squad.
Lammens said: “Yeah, I think the skipper (Bruno Fernandes) is probably the best one.
Yeah, left and right. He also likes to joke with me that in training, he always gets goals against me.”
Fernandes has been tasked with playing a deeper role in midfield since the beginning of the 2025/26 campaign, which has led to him getting into fewer dangerous positions.
What is Bruno Fernandes’ best position for Manchester United?
The Portugal international has made 12 appearances in the Premier League, scoring two goals and registering three assists. He also missed two penalties.
When did Bruno Fernandes last score for Man Utd?
Fernandes has scored twice this season, with the most recent goal coming in United’s 2-1 win over Chelsea in September.
It was his 100th goal for United, but he hasn’t been able to get on the scoresheet since then.
Fernandes will want to get back on the scoresheet when United take on Crystal Palace on Sunday.
He has only scored two goals against Crystal Palace after 10 meetings.
