Manchester United summer signing Senne Lammens singled out Real Madrid star Thibaut Courtois as one of the “two” players who had the “biggest” impact on him.
Thibaut Courtois has praised Senne Lammens and is a big fan of the 23-year-old Manchester United star, who is seen as his heir-apparent with the Belgium team.

The 33-year-old Belgian shot-stopper is currently at Real Madrid and is widely regarded as one of the best ‘keepers in the world after a successful playing career.
Courtois impressed when he was at Chelsea, including when he was also loaned out to La Liga club Atletico Madrid, and enjoyed a superb spell at Stamford Bridge.
He lifted two Premier Leagues, an FA Cup and a League Cup with Chelsea, while he captured a La Liga title, a Europa League and a Copa del Rey with Atletico Madrid.

Senne Lammens explains the influence of Real Madrid shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois on him growing up
Senne Lammens made an appearance on Manchester United’s official podcast and spoke to Ben Foster about his time at Old Trafford and the key influences in his life.

Thibaut Courtois, much like Lammens, started his early playing career in his native homeland of Belgium before the Real Madrid star caught the eye of clubs in Europe.

The Belgium No 1 played for Belgian Pro League outfit Genk before he completed his move to Chelsea in 2011, with Courtois subsequently loaned out to Atletico Madrid.
“Of course, Thibaut Courtois, because he’s also from Belgium,” Lammens told ‘Inside Carrington,’ as per Manchester United’s official website.
“I also watched him a lot growing up, especially in the national team when we played [in] World Cups and European Championships.”

Senne Lammens puts Thibaut Courtois alongside Bayern Munich star Manuel Neuer as a major influence
Alongside his admiration for Courtois, Lammens revealed that Bayern Munich shot-stopper Manuel Neuer also influenced him deeply as a player growing up.
Manuel Neuer is considered one of the best ‘keepers of all time and the 39-year-old German has had a prolific career at club level and on the international stage.

He can kick long balls with a lot of quality with both feet, and that is a detail that can change the way we play the game.
United summer signing Lammens admitted that the 2014 World Cup winner stood out for him because of how well-rounded Neuer is with his playing style on the pitch.
“I think [Manuel] Neuer, also, is a big example for me because he’s so all-round, with his feet and helping the defence as well behind him,” he added.
“I think those two are the biggest, to be honest.”
Lammens made his United debut in the 2-0 win over Sunderland at Old Trafford in October and has since made five further appearances for the Red Devils.
