Manchester United are poised to complete the signing of wonderkid Cristian Orozco.
Ineos have actioned their plans to sign the next stars of the future by agreeing a deal to sign Cristian Orozco.
Orozco, 17, will officially join United after he turns 18 next July, mirroring the club’s move for Diego Leon.
He is currently contracted to Colombian club Fortaleza, and in recent weeks he has been representing his country at the FIFA Under-17s World Cup, where he captained his side.
The exciting move now has another formality to complete, with Orozco set to visit Manchester to seal his transfer. And that is set to happen imminently.

“1 million is the transfer fee, but Man United believe that the value of this boy is going to be way higher very soon.
“Orozco is arriving in England very soon to complete the formal steps of his move. In the next days we will see Orozco signing his contract in Manchester United and starting the process to complete his move.”
Manchester United are still expected to spend big on a proven first team midfielder, but there are hopes that Orozco can develop into one.
Recruitment chief Christopher Vivell has been behind this move. The young talent has been praised in his homeland for his ‘fierce’ characteristics.

Manchester United looking ahead
Romano adds: “This is a signing for the future. But Orozco is seen as a huge talent by Manchester United.
“Of course South American football is not Premier League football. So we have to see development. But Orozco is coming and that’s an important news for Manchester United.”
With Manchester United looking for a replacement for Casemiro, there is hope that long-term, Orozco could be the guy.
There are no guarantees – but after United committed an own goal by failing to sign Moises Caicedo in 2021, it is nice to see the club take the gamble on Orozco.
These are the type of low-cost punts United need to take, and if just one pays off, the strategy will prove its worth.
