Manchester United legend Paul Scholes is really frustrated by one thing Ruben Amorim has done this season.
There are plenty of reasons to be disappointed with Ruben Amorim and his Manchester United side this season, both on and off the pitch.
Despite improvements over the majority of the season, United have also been really bad at times, and this included Monday night and the 1-0 defeat to Everton.
Amorim has had some bad games this season, but fans are growing tired of his decision-making rather than results. There has been criticism for Amorim failing to use the United academy, both in terms of debutants and first-team players.
Now, Paul Scholes has hit out over the use of Kobbie Mainoo.

Paul Scholes is gutted by Kobbie Mainoo treatment at Manchester United
Mainoo has grown frustrated at United, with his game time severely constricted ahead of a potential January loan exit.
Now, speaking to Sky Sports, Scholes admitted his annoyance around the Mainoo situation.
“Kobbie Mainoo came on the other night [against Everton], he needs games of football, it looks like he was a little bit off the pace of the night because he’s not played. You could expect that.

“One of the most disappointing things for me is Kobbie Mainoo not being involved in this Manchester United team,” Scholes admits.
“We saw how good he was 18 months, two years ago, and for some reason it’s not quite happened for him. The manager doesn’t seem to quite fancy him, but we all know the qualities he has.
“But the manager’s just for some reason preferring somebody else, and that’s something he has to deal with. I think he’s dealt with it quite well at this minute, but at some point, he will get frustrated.
“As I’m frustrated with watching Manchester United at times as well, and especially with Kobbie Mainoo, because home-grown talent, we don’t have many of them anymore, and we want him in our team.
“He [Amorim] possibly doesn’t trust him physically at the minute. Casemiro isn’t the most physical, but he’s streetwise. He knows the position, he’s done it for so many years in a great Real Madrid team, so he’s got that experience. Kobbie hasn’t quite got that experience yet.”
What Paul Scholes said about Man Utd selling Kobbie Mainoo
“It’s ridiculous. He’s United’s brightest spark.
“He’s probably the leading man who could be here for the next five to 10 years.”

Scholes has always hailed Mainoo, and he will be keen to see Amorim use the 20-year-old better, knowing he was once in the Carrington graduate’s shoes.
Scholes doesn’t see role for Mainoo in Ruben Amorim’s system
United fans will be keen to see Mainoo back getting regular minutes and back on the path to becoming world-class, but Amorim doesn’t seem keen on this.

We need this version of Kobbie Mainoo back ASAP
Mainoo has barely played, and Scholes thinks that the 20-year-old might actually need to play in a midfield three, which United don’t do, which explains the lack of minutes.
“I think Kobbie, if he’s going to play, he needs to play in a midfield three, really. Manchester United don’t do that.”
However, this isn’t true because Mainoo impressed in his debut season for United in a midfield pivot; he just isn’t being optimised.
