Nicolo Savona has now scored two goals since his arrival at Nottingham Forest from Juventus.
The defender found the back of the net against Liverpool at the weekend, helping his side to a 3-0 win. His other goal secured a point against Manchester United.
The 22-year-old’s performances have been attracting attention from the Italian press, who have spoken to him twice recently. [During the first chat](https://sportwitness.co.uk/player-happy-with-nottingham-forest-move-recommends-kenan-yildiz-follows-him/), Savona made clear just how happy he is with the Premier League.
_“It’s even more beautiful,”_ the Nottingham Forest player said. _“There’s a completely different style than in Italy and a special, unique atmosphere.”_
Now, Savona has given an interview to [Sky Italia](https://sport.sky.it/calcio/premier-league/2025/11/26/nicolo-savona-intervista-nottingham-juve-nazionale) and once again it’s all screams happiness.
_“It’s difficult to find the words. I’ve experienced unique and indescribable emotions this start to the season. I never would have imagined it._
_“I scored two goals, one more important than the other. I’m so happy. I’m experiencing incredible emotions.”_
The Italian explained he’s enjoying playing a different type of football in the Premier League.
_“The thing about the Premier League that impressed me most is the intensity within a match; the teams come at you head-on._
_“There’s more space and less tactics than in Serie A. I like it. I immediately felt at ease with both the city and the team. I’d say I’ve settled in very well.”_
Nottingham Forest highlights own versatility
--------------------------------------------
The defender showed a lot of versatility during his time at Juventus. During the interview, he also spoke about his preferred position.
_“I’ve played multiple roles, central defender and also left and right full-back. My natural position, the one I prefer, is right back. I’ve always played that.”_
So far at Nottingham Forest, Savona has played at right-back under both Ange Postecoglou and Sean Dyche. He’s shown considerable technical ability and the defender also uses his athletic and physical traits well in the final third.
That wasn’t quite the case at Juventus, where he was mainly used in build-up by Thiago Motta.
With the World Cup coming up, the right-back will hope Rino Gattuso takes note of his performances.
