SOLIHULL Moors came from behind to romp to a 4-1 victory against Manchester United under-21s in the National League Cup.
After Bendito Mantato put United ahead, goals from Emmanuel Sonupe, Darius Lipsiuc, Bradley Stevenson and Sam Bowen completed an emphatic turnaround at Damson Park.
United’s starting line-up featured centre-back Ayden Heaven who provided an assist for the Red Devils in the Premier League earlier this season and Paraguay international Diego Leon.
The young Red Devils broke the deadlock on 36 minutes when Mantato ran through and found the net.
However, Moors equalised three minutes before the break as Sonupe latched onto a ball in-behind the United defence and coolly finished from just outside the penalty area.
And Lipsiuc completed the turnaround less than 60 seconds later with a finish at the back post from close range from Olly Taipton’s ball across the box.
The home side extended their lead after the break when turned home another low Tipton cross from the right high into the net from eight-yards out.
And Moors sealed victory in injury time when Bowen saw his effort from 20-yards out deflect past the United goalkeeper.
Solihull are next in action against Wealdstone on Saturday, November 29 with kick-off at 12.30pm at Damson Park.
