Ahead of this weekend's Crystal Palace fixture, Manchester United supporters are split on how to line up for the encounter.

Matheus Cunha could miss the clash having picked up an injury during training last week. The problem was characterised as minor, but it proved significant enough for him to miss Monday's Everton clash.

Amorim was pressed to explain the circumstances before the meeting with the Toffees, informing MUTV: "It was a knock in training, so I don't know how long he's going to stay out. I think it's nothing serious."

For the Palace clash at Selhurst Park, Cunha culd rejoin the squad, providing a welcome lift following a disastrous loss to Everton.

In the Manchester Evening News' comments section, there were definite opinions on defensive selections, central areas and who ought to feature in wide positions. Some desire alterations throughout the defensive line. Oligs99 comments: "Play Yoro, put Shaw at left wing back and drop Dalot."

Others took a different view. Thetruthpersonified counters with: "Yoro was woeful in the last match. Would prefer to see Mazraoui as the left CB v Palace. 3 at the back is an issue for me, but another pressing matter is who replaces Bruno in the middle? Bruno needs to be higher up the pitch. The Bruno CM experiment is a bust and needs to change!!"

Jungle Jerry says: "I would rather see Mazraoui at LWB than Dalot or Shaw. I doubt that Shaw has it in him to make those forward runs and defend as well. It's a pity Amass is out on loan, but it is better for the lad in the long run.

"He has been amazing on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and the manager there reckons that Amass would easily adapt to the Premier League. Well, at least we know that he will come back and make a big call to be the first choice LWB for United!"

Amil suggests: "How about Lammens, Delight, Maguire, Shaw, Amad Casemiro, Martinez, Dorgu/Dalot, Mbuemo, Bruno, Cunha?"

Jungle Jerry replies: "Sounds alright except for Dorgu or Dalot at LWB. Perhaps Mazraoui can be a temporary fix there. Martinez and Casemiro in midfield would be strong defensively, but neither are really playmakers, so the midfield will lack creativity."

IlSacristano offers: "Give Lacey a run out in this game. He's earned it."

Jasper JH comments: "One thing will happen when Martinez returns, just as has happened with Rodri. The knee will be fine, but muscular injuries will occur elsewhere as he plods along the road to full match fitness. I really think we will be looking at next season before he becomes a regular starter."

RociLal declares: "Vitek in goal, centre back pair of De Ligt and Guehi, Amass and Mazroui/Leon as wingbacks, midfield trio of Anderson, Stiller and Cunha and forward line of Mbeumo, Sesko and Amad."

Another fan believes: "Mount has to start - he can drop back to help what may be an overwhelmed midfield. Hopefully, Cunha is fit enough to play. Otherwise, I'd give Lacy 15 minutes at the end. He's such a balanced, tricky, talented player who can have an effect. Everyone said Liverpool would hammer us! We need some footy luck, but anything can happen in football. Go Red Devils."
