According to a claim in the Turkish media, Beşiktaş are showing interest in Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayındır. The Super Lig club are considering signing a new goalkeeper ahead of January.
The former Fenerbahçe player has lost his place in the Premier League side’s starting eleven. He’d previously been given a chance ahead of André Onana but couldn’t impress.
Senne Lammens’ arrival has made him firmly second again.
Fanatik report on Beşiktaş’ pursuit for a new goalkeeper after their issues with this position. Mert Günok, who lost his place in the team, is expected to leave the Black Eagles in January, whilst Ersin Destanoğlu hasn’t convinced since replacing him.
Subsequently, Beşiktaş have turned their attention to Bayındır and are expected to start an effort to sign the 27-year-old.
The Manchester United player is their ‘main target’. It’s hoped they can convince Bayındır that it’s time to return to the Super Lig, as he’s resisted previous attempts.
Bayındır started the season as Manchester United’s No.1 following the poor form of André Onana during the last campaign. However, he hasn’t been involved in the last six games due to the arrival of Lammens.
He’s contracted to the Red Devils until June 2027.
