Man Utd face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon and here is the early team news.

Ruben Amorim's side will look to bounce back from their dire defeat to Everton on Monday night and will not be boosted by the return of Cunha after his recent head injury. The Brazil international suffered a minor issue in training last weekend and subsequently missed the Everton match as a precautionary measure.

Cunha has one goal in 11 appearances for United this season and has established himself as one of the key players in their starting line up under Ruben Amorim. His absence leaves Amorim with a dilemma given they are still without the injured Benjamin Sesko due to the knee injury he suffered against Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the month.

Manchester United team news vs Crystal Palace

Manchester United will be without three senior players when they face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Matheus Cunha will miss the match after his recent head injury, but is expected to be back when they host West Ham at home next week. Harry Maguire is still sidelined after his recent injury issue, while Benjamin Sesko faces several weeks on the sidelines after his recent knee injury.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, the United head coach gave reporters an update on his squad for the weekend: “Sesko is going to take a little bit more time. Harry the same. I expect to have Matheus in the next one, not this one,” Amorim said.

When asked if Sesko had suffered a fresh setback, the United head coach clarified he was still on the same timeframe as his initial diagnosis. He added: “No, no, no, no. It will take a little bit longer. We are taking care of the injury.”
