Manchester United return to Premier League action when they take on Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon. The Reds head to Selhurst Park on the back of a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Everton on Monday.
Idrissa Gueye’s sending off for slapping team-mate Michael Keane could not stop the Hill Dickinson Stadium outfit from claiming all three points. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ended David Moyes’ Old Trafford hoodoo when he scored the only goal of the game just before the half-hour mark.
Moyes had never won a Premier League match as a visiting manager in 17 previous attempts. United are tenth in the table, and when it comes to injury news, it is more of the same for Ruben Amorim.
Matheus Cunha
Cunha suffered a knock in training that resulted in him missing the defeat to Everton. And even though the injury was described as minor, he will miss Sunday’s game at Selhurst Park.
“I expect to have Matheus in the next one [West Ham United on Thursday], not this one,” Amorim said.
Potential return date: Thursday, December 4 vs West Ham United (H).
Harry Maguire
Maguire was absent against Everton due to the hamstring injury he picked up against Tottenham before the November international break. And Amorim offered no timeframe on when the England international could return to action.
"Sesko is going to take a little bit more time," he said. "It will take a little bit longer and we are taking care of him. Harry, the same.”
Potential return date: Unknown.
Benjamin Sesko
Benjamin Sesko remains sidelined with a knee injury that he picked up during the 2-2 draw with Spurs earlier this month. And Amorim admitted on Friday that the forward is going to take a little more time to return to action.
He said: "Sesko is going to take a little bit more time. It will take a little bit longer and we are taking care of him.”
The MEN's United reporter Steven Railston reported after the press conference that 'club sources have clarified there has been no setback in Sesko’s recovery from a knee injury'.
Potential return date: Mid-December
