Oliver Glasner has provided a fitness update on star defender Marc Guehi ahead of Crystal Palace versus Manchester United on Sunday.
Unlike Manchester United, Crystal Palace are competing in Europe this season, so they will have less time to recover before the two teams meet in the Premier League this weekend.
Palace have started the Premier League season strongly as they sit fifth in the league table, but Oliver Glasner’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat against Strasbourg on Thursday night.
Glasner named a strong line-up against Strasbourg, despite Palace having one eye on their clash with United. Dean Henderson, Marc Guehi, Daniel Munoz, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Ismaila Sarr all started.
Ruben Amorim will be eager for his United players to get back to winning ways after failing to win any of their last three Premier League matches, including a 1-0 defeat against Everton on Monday night.

Marc Guehi will play against Man Utd despite early substitution
Palace want to continue their strong form in the league with a win over United, so Glasner had to consider taking some of his star players off early in their Europa Conference League tie.
United-linked Guehi was substituted at half-time, prompting questions from journalists at full-time.

Guehi is one of the best defenders in the Premier League and he is likely to be on the move next summer.
However, Glasner confirmed on Thursday night that Guehi had no issues and that he will be in the starting line-up to face United.
“Marc was just planned before, because he couldn’t train for two-and-a-half weeks, he had the 90 minutes last week [against Wolves], and of course he should play and he will play against Manchester United,” Glasner said, as quoted by Crystal Palace’s official website.
“That’s why we had to manage the minutes, so no issues with Marc.”

What do you think the score will be?
That news will come as a relief to Palace fans, but it would have been a huge boost for United if they were without Guehi.
The Palace defender is responsible for replacing Harry Maguire in the England national team. Only time will tell if he does the same thing at Old Trafford amid transfer speculation.
Louis Saha believes Marc Guehi would join Man Utd
After a collapsed move to Liverpool in the summer, Guehi can leave Palace as a free agent at the end of the season.
That means there will be several clubs keen on his signature because a defender of that calibre doesn’t come around – for free – very often.
Former United striker Louis Saha recently urged United to make a move to Guehi, who he believes would jump at the opportunity to join the club.
“Marc Guehi is very strong, very solid, very reliable, quick and a good leader. There is a lot of quality in that boy. I do think that he is the type of player who can really help Manchester United’s season,” the Frenchman said to Flashscore, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
“It’s definitely an opportunity to hijack this and stop Liverpool getting stronger. It would be a smart move. I don’t think he would turn down United if the bid goes in correctly. There will be only six months left on his contract; there is definitely an opportunity there.”
