Arsenal and Man United keeping tabs on Newcastle defender

Arsenal travel to West London to face Chelsea as the Premier League’s top two sides meet on Sunday afternoon.

Mikel Arteta’s side have established a six-point lead at the top of the table, having beaten Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 in the North London derby last time out.

The Blues have also been in fine form of late, though, most recently defeating struggling Burnley 2-0 at Turf Moor to move up into second place.

The Gunners have finished as runners-up in each of the past three seasons, but it appears increasingly likely that Arteta’s side will go one better this time around.

Away from the action, it has emerged that the North London side are one of a number of clubs interested in a Premier League full-back.

CaughtOffside claims that Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United are all interested in Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento.

The right-back made his return from injury to help Newcastle beat City 2-1 on Saturday, continuing his impressive rise since joining the Magpies from Southampton back in 2023.

Having graduated from Chelsea’s fruitful youth academy, Livramento has now made 100 Premier League appearances across spells with the Saints and Newcastle.

So far this term he has featured just ten times, though, largely due to an injury suffered in September.

Despite attracting significant interest from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, the report claims that Livramento is currently unlikely to push for a move away from St. James’ Park anytime soon.

The England international is under contract in the North East until the end of the 2027/28 season, and he will hope to force his way back into Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for next summer’s World Cup in the United States having overcome a knee problem.
