Tottenham Hotspur will hope to return to winning ways when they face London rivals Fulham on Saturday night.
Thomas Frank’s side followed up a humiliating 4-1 defeat against Arsenal in the North London derby with a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Next up for the Lilywhites is a visit from Fulham, who picked up just their fourth win of the Premier League season last time out against Sunderland.
Ahead of the game, it has emerged that Spurs could attempt to rival Manchester United for the signing of a Premier League star.
As per CaughtOffside, Tottenham have sensed an opportunity to challenge Man United in the race to sign Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba.
The Cameroon international was the subject of interest from the Red Devils over the summer, but Brighton’s valuation of the player deterred United’s interest.

Since then, the 21-year-old has endured a slump in his form, and the report claims that has prompted Spurs to join the race to sign the player.
Despite Baleba’s below-par season so far, the report claims that the Seagulls will insist on their £87 million valuation of the player being met if they are to part ways with the midfielder.
Baleba joined Brighton from Ligue 1 side Lille in 2023 and has since made more than 90 appearances for the south coast club across all competitions.
The Cameroonian is contracted to Brighton until the end of the 2027/28 season, but it appears that the Seagulls could face a battle to ensure that the player remains at The Amex amid serious interest from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.
The report suggests that Spurs are hoping an opportunity to sign Baleba may arise if United decide to pursue other targets, with Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton also on the Red Devils’ radar.
