Jean-Philippe Mateta had to retake his penalty to give Crystal Palace the lead against Manchester United.
The in-form French striker put the Eagles ahead against United after 36 minutes after referee Rob Jones pointed to the spot following Leny Yoro's clumsy trip on Mateta in the box, with no doubt about the validity of the decision.
Mateta then stepped up and rolled his effort into the bottom left corner, sending Senne Lammens the wrong way.

Mateta's penalty struck his standing foot
However, after he had run off to kick the corner flag in his customary celebration, VAR spotted that Mateta had kicked the ball against his standing foot, seeing the ball bobble into the goal.
Following a review, Jones announced the decision that Mateta would have to retake the penalty to the fury of United defender Matthijs de Ligt, who was seemingly unaware that the law had changed regarding double touch penalties before the start of the season.
Mateta coolly stepped up again and rolled his second effort to Lammens' right, sending the Belgian the wrong way again.
