Manchester United player ratings: 'Brilliant' 7/10 trio inspire comeback but 4/10 duo 'poor' vs Crystal Palace

Bruno Fernandes made the difference as Manchester United came from behind to defeat Crystal Palace 2-1 in the Premier League. Ruben Amorim made two changes to his starting line up with Diogo Dalot and Mason Mount selected ahead of Noussair Mazraoui and Patrick Dorgu.

United should have scored within the opening minute when Casemiro fired straight at Dean Henderson, while Jean-Philippe Mateta drilled an effort into the side-netting at the other end. There was a sense of deja vu when Casemiro then headed wide of the goal and Mateta dragged an excellent chance wide of goal.

Palace were far the better side in the first half and deservedly led before half-time when Mateta scored his penalty at the second attempt after he had been fouled in the box by Leny Yoro. Amorim made no changes at the break, but was still able to inspire an unlikely comeback victory.

United responded well and drew level within 10 minutes of the restart when Joshua Zirkzee latched onto a brilliant Bruno Fernandes free-kick and fired an excellent effort across the goal. They soon had a second when Mason Mount fired in from the edge of the box after a quick free-kick from the club captain again.

Here is how we rated the United players at Selhurst Park.

A simple save to deny Wharton and a good stop to deny Kamada. Nothing he could do about the penalty.

Found it tough against the physicality of Mateta. An excellent block to deny Pino but a silly penalty to concede. He looked devastated when he was replaced after the equaliser.

2. Leny Yoro - 4

He was beaten far too easily by Mateta in what proved to be a rare off-day in central defence. He should have been punished for an unfortunate slip. Got better in the second-half.

3. Matthijs De Ligt - 4.5

A couple of good slide tackles to save his team. He got better as the match went on but still found it tough at times. Picked up a sloppy yellow card.

4. Luke Shaw - 5.5
