Winners
Firstly, the winners.
Joshua Zirkzee: After struggling against Everton, nobody wanted to see Zirkzee starting against Palace, but he proved all his doubters wrong with a brilliant goal for United.

Zirkzee took the ball on his chest expertly before finishing perfectly into the far corner from a tough angle. Massive confidence booster ahead of a run of games where he will be key.
Mason Mount: After a positive cameo against Everton, Mount was named in the starting line-up against Palace, and despite a quiet first-half, he ended up winning the game for United.
Mount scored a brilliant goal from outside the box, somehow finishing in the bottom corner through all the bodies, top class and this season continues to be strong from the England star.
Bruno Fernandes: The first-half performance from Fernandes was far from good, but as usual, he was inevitable and ended up providing two assists.
United should have Fernandes higher up the pitch, where he can be more decisive in the final third, but he somehow remains influential despite being a defensive midfielder.
Ruben Amorim: It wasn’t pretty, but Amorim needed a result by any means this weekend after how poor United were against Everton.
United did what was required, and now Amorim will know that he needs another victory on Thursday against West Ham.
Losers
And now the losers.
Leny Yoro: It was a very good start from Yoro in the game, making a few blocks and big tackles; however, he then ruined it with a silly challenge to concede the penalty.

It was unnecessary; he needs to learn from this mistake and be smarter when deciding whether to take on a challenge or not in the box.
Kobbie Mainoo: After a big chunk of minutes against Everton, Mainoo would have been hoping for a repeat against Palace; however, the United midfielder got pity minutes once again.
Amorim only turned to Mainoo in the 89th minute, which is almost insulting to a player with so much talent. It needs to change.
