Gary Lineker was in attendance at Selhurst Park for the clash between Crystal Palace and Manchester United, despite having no direct ties to either club. The Leicester City icon was spotted in the stands during United's 2-1 comeback against the Eagles, with Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount both on the scoresheet.
TNT Sports' cameras cut to the former striker during the first half, before commentators Darren Fletcher and Ally McCoist wished him a happy 65th birthday.
His son George also took to Instagram to wish Gary a happy birthday, writing: "Happy birthday to the old man. Keep smashing it." Gary promptly shared the post on his Instagram stories.

Lineker has been out of a job since his high-profile exit from Match of the Day in May. By the time of his exit, he had become the programme's longest-serving presenter, leading the BBC's flagship football show from 1999 to 2025.
Last month, Lineker confirmed he would return to television to front ITV’s new show The Box. The show will be filmed later this year and aired in 2026.
Speaking about the show, Lineker said: "I can’t wait to host The Box.
"I've always felt right at home in the box on a football pitch and whilst this is a different proposition, the fundamentals are similar.
"The contestants will have to quickly and masterfully work out how each game works, whilst also trying to get ahead of the competition to take control.
"It's going to be unpredictable and thrilling to watch, and I’m excited that I get to have a front row seat to all the action!"
Lineker made 444 senior appearances for the likes of Leicester, Barcelona, Tottenham and Everton.
