Manchester United responded emphatically to defeat against Everton on Monday evening with a huge victory away at Crystal Palace. Second half goals from Mason Mount and Joshua Zirkzee sealed a comeback win for Ruben Amorim's side after Jean-Phillipe Mateta's 36th minute penalty at Selhurst Park.

With Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha out injured, Mount and Zirkzee, as their replacements, both scoring will be great news for Amorim. Having not qualified for Europe, United have often had free weeks to prepare for games, but that will not be the case for the next fixture against West Ham United.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side visit Old Trafford next Thursday evening and though there is such a quick turnaround, an injury return does look set to occur. There was some concern over Bruno Fernandes' availability after he was captured holding the back of his leg in the final stages of the win over Palace.

With all of that being said, MEN Sport has taken a look at the latest United injury updates and when those missing could return.

Bruno Fernandes

After limping his way through the last knockings of the victory at the Seagulls, Amorim provided an update on Fernandes' condition which indicated he will be fine to face West Ham.

What Amorim has said: “It was a kick, I was shouting at him because he needs to learn we make a substitution in the end, he needs to talk to the bench. But he said it was just a kick, so everything is OK.”

Return date: West Ham (H) - Thursday, December 4

Matheus Cunha

A training injury kept Cunha out of facing Everton and Palace, but he is expected back next week.

What Amorim has said: "I expect to have Matheus in the next one [West Ham United], not this one [vs Crystal Palace]."

Expected return date: West Ham (H) - Thursday, December 4.

Lisandro Martinez

After nine months out of action because of a serious knee injury, Lisandro Martinez returned to United's matchday squad on Sunday. He replaced Luke Shaw for the final eight minutes of their 2-1 victory.

Expected return date: Returned

Benjamin Sesko

Sesko has been absent since picking up a knee injury against Tottenham prior to the November international break.

Despite the tone of Amorim's comments, he has not suffered an injury setback.

What Amorim has said: "Sesko is going to take a little bit more time. It will take a little bit longer, and we are taking care of him.

Expected return date: Wolves (A) - Monday, December 8.

Harry Maguire

Maguire was also withdrawn in the 2-2 draw at Spurs.

What Amorim has said: "It will take a little bit longer, and we are taking care of him. Harry, the same."

Expected return date: Bournemouth (H) - Monday, December 15.
