Manchester Evening News readers have been sharing their thoughts on this weekend's match, which saw Manchester United stage a comeback to defeat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Fans had varied opinions post-match about the team's performance, the manager, and what lies ahead.

Some focused on formation and effort, others on who should be the main striker.

A group of supporters were simply content with the outcome, despite acknowledging it wasn't a smooth victory.

The tone across the comments ranged from tactical concerns to transfer suggestions to reassuring words about staying the course.

United were outplayed in the first half and found themselves trailing with 10 minutes left as Jean-Philippe Mateta was clumsily fouled by Leny Yoro.

After VAR demanded a retake due to a double touch, the forward successfully converted the penalty.

However, after half time, United capitalised on their fresher legs. They levelled the score unexpectedly when Bruno Fernandes' free kick found Joshua Zirkzee, who calmly slotted the ball into the net.

The game took a dramatic turn moments later. Fernandes set up a free kick for Mason Mount to strike home through a sea of players, and the Reds managed to maintain their lead, securing a crucial three points away from home.

One supporter, MURED, outlined a lengthy catalogue of concerns, saying: "Same problem every game. Bruno and Case can't cover the ground to help defence. One of centre-backs needs to cover, where middle can't cover. Wing-back forward so far up and can't come back in time. CP plays the same system and plays a lot better.

"Get rid of Zirkzee. I don't know what he is good at. With his height and weight, at least he can contain the ball, but he can't do it and easily loses the ball. Also, at least, we need to buy 2 middle players."

While Turf7 believes: "Mateta, is the striker Utd should have gone for at the start of the season. Someone with experience of the Premier League and plays the game for fun."

Futch, looking at the positive: "Guys, we won. Too many whiners on here. What should we do? Sack Amorim and start again. In my humble opinion, I believe he will work for us. I believe (maybe naively) we will get a Champions League place this year and be back competing next year. Don’t understand why so many of you want Amorim out."

Glazerclowns agrees: "Well done lads. Hardly convincing, but we would have lost this game last season."
