A Premier League bidding war could commence, with Chelsea also making contact over a potential move for the young defender.
The report adds that Eduardo has a €60 million (£52m) release clause in his contract, although United would likely bid well below that figure.
Luis Eduardo is quicker than Marcus Rashford
According to the same AS report, Eduardo is known for his “tremendous speed”.
In a match against Red Bull Bragantino, Eduardo reached a speed of 38 km/h in the round of 16 when making a goal-saving clearance.
Interestingly, Eduardo’s top speed would make him the quickest player at Manchester United, and even faster than loan star Marcus Rashford.
